Iran calls for a New Holocaust

I'm sure by now, all of you have heard of Iran's call for "the death of Israel".

Only a blind fool could still delude himself into believing that there is not a clash of civilizations going on in this world. Islam, that barbaric death cult, has declared war on Western Civilization. Bear in mind that they have a 1,400-year history that has taught us well what they stand for and what they do to conquered peoples. They mean to do it all again, and have announced so many times. They want to take over the world and have said so clearly. Why will our leaders not believe them? Our leaders had better wake up to reality while we still have the power to destroy these savages.

Blind, ignorant & selfish fool John Kerry claimed during the 2004 election that he was trying to prevent a war of civilizations. The war on civilization really began when Muhammed's successors invaded the rest of the world. The greatest flaw in the Bush Administration's Iraq policy is the assumption that Islam is a peaceful religion. Iran proves that it isn't.

Anybody scoffing that Bush named Iran in the Axis of Evil? heh heh

Jacques Chirac....The Weasel, The Fraud, is in trouble....heh heh. Can you say "Oil for Food" Scandal and Sadaam Hussein?

Read this excerpt from
  • this article :

  • "The suspicion of past corruption tainting Jacques Chirac's presidency returned to haunt him yesterday when a court imposed suspended sentences and fines on his former henchmen. . . . The outcome of the trial, which highlighted kickbacks of £50 million from school building contracts, was another crushing indictment of a political system riddled with corruption from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s."

Riddled with corruption? You don't say.

    Great Quote

  • Right Wing Rocker
  • has a great quote, here it is:

Hillary gets $8 Million for remembering all the details for her memoirs. Bill gets about $12 Million for remembering all of the details for his memoirs. All of this from two people who spent 8 years being unable to recall anything about past events while under oath!

    Good one 'bro!!

    A Witness to Terror

  • Read this article
  • it is an interview with an Iraqi who escaped, his name is Jesse Kaveh. Here's an excerpt:

Kaveh: If the American Left achieved its objective in getting an immediate withdrawal, Iraq would be a bloodbath – and much more than that. Iraqis would be slaughtered in the millions and it would turn into a regional war. There is no doubt that with a power vacuum of that sort, Syria, Iran and other terrorist states would all try to gain as much power as possible due to the vast oil wealth Iraq has. There would also obviously be horrible ethnic rivalries.

A terrorist state, like the one the Taliban controlled, with vast oil resources and Iran as its neighbor (with an open and declared weapons of mass destruction stockpile) would lead to a jihad on a worldwide scale that would make 9/11 seem like a slap in the face.

The United States and the Iraqis cannot afford to allow Iraq to fall as it would have direct national security implications. It would also make U.S. foreign policy less credible amongst the Muslim world as well as in terms of Israeli/Palestinian negotiations and above all to the democratic movements throughout the Eiddle East. Above all, we can not allow another South Vietnam and Cambodia to occur in Iraq as a result of the same leftists demanding another withdrawal.

Critics miss the big picture on our military's accomplishments

Last week's approval of the Iraqi constitution saw over 10 million people freely vote in the Arab world's first democracy. The jihadists can't be entirely defeated without that having taken place. That was huge.

Our military knocked Sadaam out of power in 3 weeks in an effort to to liberate Iraqi's, not to punish the whole nation. Do you know that our military has never lost a single engagement with the terrorists? Though many have died and thousands injured, the military never lost focus. during this, the military has trained hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's to be policeman and military personnel, with last weeks election, it is looking like things are starting to pay off. Iraq is even having more government elections this coming December.

Yet after 2 and half years of constant battle, you constantly hear that we are there for the oil (the price has actually skyrocketed and is decided by the free market) actually the Iraqi's oil reserves have come under their own control, or that we are there for Halliburton's profit or for Israel's security.

You know what has been accomplished? No more Kurdish or Shiite massacre's, no more no-fly zones, no more attacks on Kuwait, Iran, Israel or Saudi Arabia, no more assassination attempts against former president's, and now a democracy has been put in place of a terror state.

You know what we get via the media? We get Michael Moore praising the terrorists who were killing American soldiers and so-called jihadists as "Minuteman". Remember Eason Jordan, the former CNN executive said, without evidence, that our troops were purposely targeting journalists and Sen. Little Dick Durbin compared our military guards at Gitmo to those of Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot. We also get the crap over GW Bush's flight suit, the Iraqi museum looting, the so-called humiliating examination of Sadaam right after we caught the murdering pig, there was even controversy over his crazy sons, Uday and Qusay's embalming techniques, or reports of Korans being flushed down toilets, and the abuse at Abu Grhaib being compared to Sadaam's own mass murdering, via Sen. Ted Kennedy. Wow, too much.

There have been thousands of heroes, yet what we get is the most discussed soldier, "Leash Girl" Lyndie Something-or-other (forget her last name) and "The Professional Griever", Cindy Sheehan.

Last week the elections were held, it came off as a success, when just not even a year ago, many in the media here said it would fail. What we get is how much we've done wrong in Iraq or what a rotten President Bush is. You know what? After knocking the Taliban out of power, removing Sadaam from power, Qadaafi giving up his nuclear weapons, making way for first time ever elections in Afghanistan and Iraq, stabilizing Kuwait, Syria, lessening the threat of the mullahs' power over the citizens in the Middle East, GW Bush may go down as one of the best ever. He is stabilizing the Middle East right before our very eyes.

Last week should be a reminder of just how much our military has done right. Our unheralded soldiers need to be credited for creating freedom to 26 million Iraqi's who didn't have it before, they did this with the hope that it just might work............and it is!

    The Professional Griever's Day

Cindy Sheehan got her day today, I bet she's ecstatic.

    Quote of the Day.....

"Four is my lucky number ... With the number 4, you can create 5. You can create any number in the universe with 4. Mathematically, it's very complex but a mathematician rabbi once explained this to me".

    -- Barbra Streisand.

    Wow.......you are an amazing broad.

The Professional Griever is getting ready for number 2,000

Mama Moonbat, err The Professional Griever, uh ......Cindy Sheehan is getting ready to jump on the left's "2,000 death" party bandwagon. It isn't surprising though, since she has been exploiting her son's death for month's.

I found it interesting on how "The Griever" called out Hillary for her "pro-war" stance in Iraq, saying that she could not vote for her in any upcoming elections unless she (Hillary) denounces her support for the war and proceed to call for all of the troops to come home. My opinion is that this can only help Hillary. The more something like this is pressed and publicized by the far-left, the more to the center this will make Hillary look. Then again maybe not, she will always be stuck with her "go to war" vote in Iraq and this won't sit well the far left of the already fractured Democratic Party.

PS - It has been said that it will be Condi vs Hillary in 2008 Presidential election. JG's prediction:

Senator of VA George Allen as Pres. will choose Condi as VP

Leader of New Black Panther Party

Here are some things he has to say:

"The only solution any time there is a funeral in the black community, is a funeral in the police community."

"Kill every goddamn Zionist in Israel! Goddamn little babies, goddamn old ladies! Blow up Zionist supermarkets!"

"America should be glad that every black man is not on a killing spree for all the suffering they [white Americans] have done."

"If any racist, straw-chewin' tobacco-chewin' racist redneck lays their hand on any black man or woman in this county, crush that devil that is trying to do you harm and to do you evil in the name of God and in accordance with your legal rights."

Huh?? This guy is downright pathetic.

    Who is "The Man"?

Louis Farrakhan is about as rascist as you can get. Citing his remarks on Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans...."bombs were planted by "The Man", to decimate the levies to wipe out and decimate the black people. I saw from up above in a helicopter and it was quite obvious this was done by 'The Man' ". Yah, right.

This is from the same guy who on October 24, 1989, at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC., Louis Farrakhan stated that he had a vision of being abducted in 1985 by an invisible pilot in a UFO and carried up on a beam of light to a "human built planet" known as the "Mother Wheel." There the voice of Elijah Muhammad informed him that the president and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, under the direction of Gen. Colin Powell, were planning a war, which Farrakhan said he later came to realize was "a war against the black people of America, the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan." "I saw a city in the sky," Farrakhan said, after which the UFO "brought me back to Earth and dropped me off near Washington; over to Tyson Corners and Fifth Street I think...to make The Announcement."

Mr. Farrakhan, you are a moron and a racsit, why anyone on the left doesn't call you out on this, is beyond me. Maybe they are just embarrassed.

I would like to know how these bombs were planted, how "The Man" knew the hurricane would hit New Orleans...........and also, who is "The Man"?

Louis, just who is "The Man"? I think I know who it is.

    It is Tiger Woods.

Think about it, just about everytime he hits the ball, you hear someone in the crowd yell out "You 'Da Man"......or maybe it could be George Strait, just a few years ago at the Country Music Awards, Garth Brooks handed out the Entertainer of the Year award to George Strait, and he introduced him as "The Man"......or could it be NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr., commonly known througout the NASCAR as "The Man".

I would sure like to find out just who "The Man" is.

    Russia's Dilemna in 2020 is China's opportunity

What do you get with a country of only 16 million people in its eastern section that contains 80% of it's resources there bordered by a country of over 1.3 Billion, male dominated people that is resource poor looking for more resources?

You've got the world's next superpower in China.

Russia is yesterday's superpower, the United States is today's only superpower and China will be tomorrow's world power.

With Russia'a staggering decline in population and strength, you have a border situation that is far more pourous than that of USA's and Mexico's, this could lead to China making inroads into eastern Russia. The illegal immigration is reportedly out of control, with over 200,000 Chinese living and working in eastern Russia. Russia needs to protect itself, but lacks money, etc to enforce.

So what does Russia do with China?

These two countries signed the Sino-Russia Good Neighborly Treaty in 2001 that calls for the 2 countries to work in tandem for economic growth and to challenge American international position and influence. On paper, it looks great for both sides, but not for the good guys.....the USA. This treaty comes up for final resolution in 2020, at this time, China will be far more powerful and licking its chops for the goods in eastern Russia. Meanwhile, Russia will limp along. It is estimated (I took this from the Christian Science Monitor, dated April 18, 2002....I can't link it, don't know why) that Russia's current population of 145 million could be cut in half within 50 years. Male life expectancy is 59 and female life expectancy is 72, births stand at 1.1 per woman, far short of the 2.4 needed to stabilize the population and more abortions than births. Now look at China, since they instituted the "one child only" in the late 1970's, they have a population of 119 boys to every 100 girls, that's a disproportionate of 20%!

You've got a few things going on here, either the world's first gay superpower will come to rise, or or a bunch of coming of age testosterone crazed men with a taste of capitalism looking for something to conquer..........maybe something like a .......a ......jihad?.....Chinese style.

The Most Reproduced Print in the World.....

....is this photo by Alberto Korda of the Communist murderer...Che Guevara.

Che's father in Buenos Aires received a letter from his prodigal son. "I'd like to confess, papa', at that moment I put a bullet in a mans head and watched him die slowly, I discovered that I really like killing." This is from Marcos Bravo's book, "La Otra Cara Del Che", Editorial Solar. Bogota, Colombia.

Some Moonbat has even created an infant clothing line of Che Guevara. Someone who enjoyed executing people without resorting to legal process to determine guilt or innocence should not be admired by anyone. Although the left is proud to have their infants wear items of clothing adorned by his image. This is total hypocrisy by the left that continues to champion the "rights" of terrorists and mandating American due process rights for the Guantanamo Bay prisoners. Their hero Che apparently didn't believe in detainment. He just like to blow the brains out of anyone who disagreed with him!No matter how disturbing the facts are about this hero of the left I don't believe any of them will change their allegiance to him. The clothing line featuring his image should disgust every American. It would be akin to having a clothing line featuring the image of Stalin or Mao.

    GW Bush.......a true Conservative???

I found this interesting, courtesy of
  • Hispanic Pundit
  • , definitely give credit to him for his honesty and consistent opinion.......here's his post:

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking on President Bush, and if I could still justify my vote for him. Clearly Bush is not a conservative on economics, take a look at the picture above - take a long good look at the picture above - he has spent more than Lyndon Johnson and the ‘great society’ (much more!)!!! I ask, on conservative economic grounds, how could anyone continue to support Bush?
Yes, okay, I know, we have to look at long term issues, the President picks judges, judges have much more affect on the economy and society than short term spending, and atleast on judges, Bush has continued to come through….so goes the argument. But has he? Has Bush really delivered on judges? Here was an opportunity for Bush to really make his mark on the court and he gave us Roberts and Miers. Miers!!! Conservatives, remember, are supposed to be against politicizing the court, we are supposed to believe in meritocracy, we are supposed to believe the court should be independent of politics, yet can any conservative say, with a straight face, that Miers was nominated because of anything else but cronyism? After the nomination of Miers, can we, as conservatives, continue to say we believe in a meritocratic society? After the nomination of Miers, can we, as conservatives, continue to say we are against politicizing the courts? After the nomination of Miers, can we, as conservatives, continue to say we believe the courts should be independent of politics? In short, after the nomination of Miers, can we, as conservatives, say we believe in anything else but blind allegiance to President Bush?
These are tough questions, and questions that require answers. I’ll tell you my answer, if Miers makes it to the Supreme Court my support for Bush is over.

Why the International Resistance to the War in Iraq?

Could it be the United Nations scam "Oil for Food" program? Check this out, France's former U.N. Ambassodor was just taken into custody today. Claudia Rosett from
  • National Review Online
  • deserves a Pulitzer Prize for her work on uncovering this scam. Here's the article from the Guardian Unlimited:

Ex-French U.N. Diplomat Taken Into Custody
    Tuesday October 11, 2005 6:31 PM

    By PIERRE-ANTOINE SOUCHARD
    Associated Press Writer

PARIS (AP) - France's former U.N. ambassador has been taken into custody as part of an investigation into allegations of wrongdoing in the Iraq oil-for-food program, judicial officials said Tuesday.
Jean-Bernard Merimee, 68, who also was ambassador to Italy from 1995-98 and to Australia in the 1980s, is suspected of having received kickbacks in the form of oil allocations from the regime of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. He was also a special adviser to U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan from 1999 to 2002.
Merimee was taken into custody on Monday, and is expected to be presented Wednesday to the judge leading the probe, the officials said on condition of anonymity because French law does not allow disclosure of information from judicial investigations.
Merimee was France's permanent representative to the U.N. from 1991-95. He was one of the world body's most prominent diplomats, in part because France occupies one of five permanent seats on the powerful U.N. Security Council.
The oil-for-food program was established in 1996 to provide food, medical supplies and other humanitarian goods for millions of Iraqis trying to cope with U.N. sanctions imposed after Iraq's 1990 invasion of Kuwait. The program ended with the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.
Merimee worked as a special adviser to Annan from 1999 to 2002, helping to create a system by which the European Commission disbursed payments to the United Nations. Annan spokesman Stephane Dujarric said the U.N. would not comment on the specifics of the case.
``We have made it clear that we support the efforts of national authorities who wish to pursue proceedings into activities of their own nationals who may or may not have been involved in the oil-for-food program,'' Dujarric said.
The French mission to the United Nations promised to cooperate with the investigation into Merimee. A spokesman said the mission's papers from Merimee's time at the U.N. had long since been sent back to the national archives in Paris and that there had been no request so far to meet with staff in New York.
Saddam manipulated the program under a scheme by which he essentially sold oil at a reduced rate to favored buyers, who could then turn around and sell the oil at a hefty profit.
Ten French officials and business leaders - including a former adviser to former Interior Minister Charles Pasqua - are suspected of having received oil allocations as kickbacks from Saddam's regime.

The interesting thing to me is the Guardian (who published this article) is now stating "Saddam manipulated the program" as a forgone conclusion. No longer is the press treating this as if it "alledgedly" happened. One wonders how long it will take the MSM to make the connection between the lucrative income generated by this scam and the "international resistance" to the war in Iraq.

Memo to Major Media.......Report the News, Don't Conceal It!!

You probably weren't aware of this, unless you live in Oklahoma and follow the local news, or else read conservative blogs, you probably wouldn't know anything about Joel Hinrichs, the University of Oklahoma student who almost surely tried to carry off a mass suicide-murder at an OU football game on October 2, where there was a stafium full of over 80,000 people.

According to most reports, Joel Hinrichs III was a young man with a history of depression who used a homemade explosive device to commit suicide just 100 yards or so from the school’s football stadium, which was filled with over 80,000 people at the time. Officials were quick to call the incident a suicide, but rumors and reports of Hinrichs’ attempts to buy large quantities of ammonium nitrate and ties to the Muslim community have raised a lot of questions and the answers thus far are not forthcoming. Whether Hinrichs had converted to Islam is apparently in dispute, but he had at least one roommate from Pakistan and ties to the local Muslim community. It's been reported that jihadist literature was found when his apartment was searched, along with bomb-making materials, although none of this is yet certain. It is assumed that Hinrichs was, at most, a "free-lance Islamic terrorist," like the D.C. snipers of three years ago, not an al Qaeda operative.

Where was the Main Stream Media on this one? It seems clear that both major media and the local university paper are trying to act as news gatekeepers, preventing the public at large from needlessly becoming concerned--and maybe suspicious of Muslims--because of the Oklahoma incident.

    Al Qaeda Moving Into Gaza....

  • The Jerusalem Post
  • reports today of this unsettling problem. I never thought it was a good idea to "give in" to the Palestinians when the Israeli's withdrew unilaterally. Hamas is bad enough, but Al Qaeda? Wow, that's a ticking time bomb. Here's from the report:

Has al-Qaida started operating in the Gaza Strip? A leaflet distributed in Khan Yunis over the weekend by al-Qaida's "Palestine branch" announced that the terrorist group has begun working towards uniting the Muslims under one Islamic state.
"The Muslim nation has been subjected, through various periods, to conspiracies by the infidels," the leaflet said. "[The infidels] have brought down the Islamic Caliphate, dividing the nation into small and weak states. They also managed to dilute the Islamic and character of the nation."
The leaflet said unity was the only way for Muslims to achieve victory over their enemies, adding that the terrorist group's chief goal was to enforce Islamic law in the entire world.
The leaflet, signed by al-Qaida of Jihad in Palestine, is the latest indication of al-Qaida's effort to establish itself in the Gaza Strip after the Israeli withdrawal from the area.

More tangible signs of al Qaeda's presence are also starting to appear:

According to [Gaza resident] Nizar, some areas in the southern Gaza Strip are already beginning to resemble Afghanistan when it was ruled by the Taliban. "This is very disturbing," he remarked. "You see more and more women covering their faces and in the mosques you hear extremely radical sermons. The people there are behaving as if they were members of a tribe in Afghanistan."

The Post reports that Palestinians have responded with "mixed feelings" to reports that al Qaeda is now active among them. They might want to talk to some Iraqis before becoming too enthusiastic.

Now that the White House has endorsed Palestine's statehood, can they hold up under a potential take-over of Al Qaeda? Remember, they did that in Afghanistan. With Al Qaeda present in Israel, it isn't just Israel's problem anymore. You've got two major terrorist factions on Israel's doorstep......it's getting ugly folks.

    Saddam Hussein.....

Soon there will be a globally televised trial of Saddam Hussein that may well shock the Arab autocratic nations— especially when their unfree populations look on at the most well-known and thuggish of the Arab illegitimate leaders, chained up in the courtroom and his fate put in the hands of a constitutionally-appointed judge. Can't wait, hopefully they will find him to be executed......

Bush will pull out of Iraq sooner than....

....he'll withdraw the Harriet Mier's nomination.......

Michael Barone gives a great account of Bush's speech yesterday (which by the way was excellent), yet you wouldn't have known, nobody in the MSM (main stream media) covered it. Here's the text:

I was in the hall at the Ronald Reagan Building (irony: Washington's largest federal building is named after the president who said government was the problem not the solution) when George W. Bush delivered his speech to the National Endowment for Democracy. It was originally scheduled for September 11 and postponed because of Hurricane Katrina.

It was an excellent speech, well received by the audience. I won't attempt a complete analysis, but I think it did three things Bush has not done before.

First, he identified the source of the terrorism we are fighting against. "Some call this evil Islamic radicalism; others, militant jihadism; still others, Islamofascism." (Score one for Christopher Hitchens, who I believe invented the term Islamofascism.) Of course Bush went on to say, quite rightly, "Whatever it's called, this ideology is very different from the religion of Islam." To the best of my memory, Bush previously has not been willing to describe what we are fighting against as "Islamic" radicalism, presumably out of fear of angering Muslims or of providing fodder for claiming that we are fighting a war against Islam.

Maybe rightly so. But I think it's better, when you're a war leader, to specify with particularity what you are fighting against. We're not fighting against unfocused terrorism or people who set off bombs just because they like setting off bombs. We're fighting against people with specific totalitarian goals. Immediately after the sentences I've quoted, Bush made it specific: "This form of radicalism exploits Islam to serve a violent, political vision: the establishment, by terrorism and subversion and insurgency, of a totalitarian empire that denies all political and religious freedom. These extremists distort the idea of jihad into a call for terrorist murder against Christians and Jews and Hindus—and also against Muslims from other traditions, who they regard as heretics." Good stuff.

Second, Bush provided a narrative framework for what is going on in Iraq. It is not, as the mainstream media tend to portray it, a story of endless and continuous violence against which we have no defense and are prosecuting no offense. On the contrary,
Our coalition, along with our Iraqi allies, is moving forward with a comprehensive, specific military plan. Area by area, city by city, we're conducting offensive operations to clear out enemy forces, and leaving behind Iraqi units to prevent the enemy from returning. Within these areas, we're working for tangible improvements in the lives of Iraqi citizens. And we're aiding the rise of an elected government that unites the Iraqi people against extremism and violence. This work involves great risk for Iraqis and for Americans and coalition forces. Wars are not won without sacrifice–and this war will require more sacrifice, more time, and more resolve. . .

Some observers look at the job ahead and adopt a self-defeating pessimism. It is not justified. With every random bombing and with every funeral of a child, it becomes more clear that the extremists are not patriots, or resistance fighters–they are murderers at war with the Iraqi people themselves.

In contrast, the elected leaders of Iraq are proving to be strong and steadfast. By any standard or precedent of history, Iraq has made incredible political progress–from tyranny, to liberation, to national elections, to the writing of a constitution, in the space of 2½ years. With our help, the Iraqi military is gaining new capabilities and new confidence with every passing month. At the time of our Fallujah operations 11 months ago, there were only a few Iraqi Army battalions in combat. Today there are more than 80 Iraqi Army battalions fighting the insurgency alongside our forces. Progress isn't easy, but it is steady. And no fair-minded person should ignore, deny, or dismiss the achievements of the Iraqi people.

Here Bush was echoing the briefing that Gen. David Petraeus delivered at the Pentagon yesterday and that I saw him repeat at the American Enterprise Institute later yesterday afternoon. General Petraeus has recently returned from Iraq, where he was in charge of training Iraqi forces. He noted, as previously reported in the press, that Iraqi forces have only one battalion that we rate as Level 1—able to fight on its own. But he added that there are "more than 36" battalions rated at Level 2—able to fight "in the lead" with guidance from embedded American troops, and that there are "more than 80" battalions rated at Level 3—able to "fight alongside" American troops. This is a huge increase from the situation as of July 1, 2004, when there were evidently no Level 1 or Level 2 Iraqi troops and not nearly so many Level 3.

Petraeus did not say everything was what we would like it to be. "Level 2 and above is the data point we look at," he said—Iraqi troops able to take the lead. By his numbers there are 30,000-some troops now, enough to take the lead in the Tal Afar offensive, for one. But the numbers are presumably not static. The clear implication of Petraeus's summary is that we have made much progress in training Iraqi troops and that we are positioned to make much more progress in the months ahead. The situation is not static, with our troops and Iraqis just sitting there taking casualties. The situation is dynamic, and the movement is in our favor.

I am fond of comparing the course of this military struggle with the course of World War II. In World War II, President Roosevelt did an excellent job, even while the United States was in retreat and American forces were performing poorly on the battlefield, of showing the American people what progress was being made and what was being done to make more progress. President Bush in the past year has not done such a good job at this. In his speech today he did. He provided a narrative framework, and General Petraeus and other military leaders have provided supporting evidence and detail for that framework. I think if you go back over the history of World War II you will find that President Roosevelt also from time to time faltered in providing such a narrative framework. But overall he did it well, and so did President Bush today.

The third interesting new thing in this speech was Bush's description of what could happen if we fail in Iraq:

Some observers also claim that America would be better off by cutting our losses and leaving Iraq now. This is a dangerous illusion, refuted with a simple question: Would the United States and other free nations be more safe, or less safe, with Zarqawi and bin Laden in control of Iraq, its people, and its resources?

I am struck by the sublime indifference of most critics of Bush's Iraq policy to the fate of the Iraqi people. They are totally unexultant about the overthrow of a vicious dictatorship and seem to have no interest at all in what would happen to Iraqis if we leave suddenly. Hitchens has argued persuasively that no one deserves the label of liberal who is so indifferent to whether others live in freedom or under tyranny. In this passage Bush reminded Americans more hardheadedly about our own self-interest. But of course many of his critics are more interested in hurting Bush than they are in preventing the emergence of an anti-American tyranny in Iraq.

Global Warming (Bush's fault) and Hurricanes related? Uhhmmm.....try again!

Major categories 3, 4 and 5 hurricanes are relatively rare. If you check out the website of the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov/pastdec.shtml?), you'll find that the most active hurricane decade was 1941-50 -- recording 24 hurricanes, with 10 of them being giant category 3, 4 and 5 hurricanes. The peak for major hurricanes (categories 3, 4 5) came in the decades of the 1890s, 1930s and 1940s -- an average of nine per decade. Of the 92 giant hurricanes that have struck the U.S. mainland between 1851 and 2004, 61 of them occurred before 1950, long before global warming was an issue. Hah!!

Six noted tropical cyclone experts wrote a paper in the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society titled "Hurricanes and Global Warming." Their three main points were: No connection has been established between greenhouse gas emissions and the observed behavior of hurricanes. The scientific consensus is that any future changes in hurricane intensities will likely be small and within the context of observed natural variability. Finally, the politics of linking hurricanes to global warming threatens to undermine support for legitimate climate research and could result in ineffective hurricane policies.

Stanley Goldenberg, a meteorologist at the Hurricane Research Division of the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, says, "Katrina is part of a well-documented, multidecadal scale fluctuation in hurricane activity. This cycle was described in a heavily cited article printed in the journal Science in 2001." His colleague Chris Landsea agrees, saying, "If you look at the raw hurricane data itself, there is no global warming signal. What we see instead is a strong cycling of activity. There are periods of 25 to 40 years where it's very busy and then periods of 25 to 40 years when it's very quiet."

Our European allies, most of whom have signed the Kyoto Protocol, have been harsh in their attacks on President Bush. "Katrina Should Be a Lesson to the U.S. on Global Warming," read a headline of the German magazine Der Spiegel. Jurgen Tritten, Germany's environment minister and a Green Party member, said, "The American president is closing his eyes to the economic and human costs his land and the world economy are suffering under natural catastrophes like Katrina."

Writing in the Aug. 30th edition of the Boston Globe, Ross Gelbspan said, "The hurricane that struck Louisiana yesterday was nicknamed Katrina by the National Weather Service. Its real name is global warming." President Bush, according to Gelbspan, is to blame because he's taken his environmental policy from "big oil and big coal."

About the connection between hurricanes and global warming, Goldenberg concludes, "I speak for many hurricane climate researchers in saying such claims are nonsense." The bottom line for President Bush is that unless he's God, he shouldn't accept the blame for Hurricane Katrina.

    Check this poll out......

More than 15,000 people worldwide took part in the interactive Power Play game courtesy of the BBC in London, in which players were invited to choose a team of 11 to run the world from a list of around 100 of the most powerful leaders, thinkers and other high-profile people on the planet. Here's the list:

    1 - Nelson Mandela
    2 - Bill Clinton
    3 - Dalai Lama
    4 - Noam Chomsky
    5 - Alan Greenspan
    6 - Bill Gates
    7 - Steve Jobs
    8 - Archbishop Desmond Tutu
    9 - Richard Branson
    10 - George Soros
    11 - Kofi Annan

Hillary was 16, Osama Bin Laden came in 70th!

Aahhh.....the glory of socialism.....I was wondering, what about Michael Moore (actually he came in at 15), Nancy Pelosi, The Professional Griever (Cindy Sheehan), John f'n Kerry, Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy, Howard Dean or Ward Churchill?

Commie losers Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro outpolled GW Bush, who by the way came in at.......#43, naturally.

Now doesn't these selections just make you "feel good"? Dude, I'm gonna barf.

Meanwhile, back in the real world...

    Bush- Re-elected
    Howard- Re-elected
    Blair- Re-elected
    Koizumi- Re-elected
Shroder- sort of defeated (can't win 'em all)

Let the Left have their fantasy games that read like some sort of ideal version of the J F'n Kerry 'global test'. In the meantime serious people will do what needs to be done.

PS - Next to Bin Laden, the most dangerous people on the list are Chavez, Castro for obvious reasons, and Chomsky for his poisoning of the young minds in our universities.

    It's Islam, or die........

The Global War is definitely on. There is a cancer that is metastasising and it is preying on anyone not converting or of the Islam(ofascism) faith. I read where 5 days before saturday's slaughter in Bali, nine Islamists were arrested in France for reportedly plotting to attack the Metro.....must be all of those French troops in Iraq......right???

The essence of Islam is to rule the world. If you are a Christian or a Jew living in the Muslim world, you are second, third class citizen. Here in the US, we "embrace" diversity, allowing people of all faith's to practice their own religion, but should you try that in the Middle East, you can count yourself a goner sooner or later. I can't for the life of me understand the liberal left preaching diversity here and abroad, yet when it is not "practiced" other than here, it is okay. There are so many trouble spots throughout the world....you've got the Muslims vs Jews in Israel/Palestine, Muslims vs Christians in Africa, Muslims vs Buddhists in Asia, you can be assured, these folks don't "practice" diversity.

Look, for all you anti-war, peace-loving, Bush haters, remember one thing, if you ain't a Muslim, you are hated by the radicals, and the number of them is astounding. A spokesman for the Islamic Army said after they bombed a French oil tanker in 2002..."We would have preferred to hit a US vessel, but no problem, because they are ALL infidels". If that isn't a wakeup call, I don't know what is.

You know what is scary? There are more Muslim states than a half-century ago, many more Muslims in non-Muslim states and in turn many more radical Muslims. These radicals believe Islam is the religion of peace, but that only applies if everyone converts to Islam.........talk about diversity!?!

They blew up Bali about 3 years ago, they did it again just a few days ago and they will continue to do so. It isn't about Bush, Iraq, Israel, it's about everything and everybody other than Islamism.
