Joe Gringo - Music Critic
This guy's video "Seashores of Old México", is a somewhat eerily a reminder of my México experiences, the hitch hiking, catching rides, meeting/marrying a chica Méxicana ;-), the gringo references, it's a very well done video.
This gentleman has a new song out "Give it Away", and it may his best yet to date......and he's had 53 #1 hit songs to date, this will be #54. It's just about the ultimate Country song, the lyrics, the "hmmmm" inflections, fantastic electric guitar and fiddle work as well as the production. Ain't no one can deliver a song like George Strait. It's my favorite song right now.
Don't have his new song yet, new album will be out in November, but here's the video for The Seashores of Old Mexico . You may have to look for the link once you are directed to the page.
FYI...I love rock n' roll and blues as well> I will say this, for every decent new rock n' roll tune out these days, there are AT LEAST 10 great country songs. The Who may be right at this time, Rock n' Roll is Dead. ;-)

Blues are my thing....gotta love it..the root of a lot of music, jazz, rock n roll, country.
About the best live performance I've ever seen, by anyone, was Buddy Guy, just blew everybody's socks off.
Will always regret not seeing SRV.
Now I've got to go and dust off my Elmore James box set
We're talkin' George Strait here ... aren't we?
He's got some primo song writers and his manner of delivery is awesome ... IMO.
He also starred in the movie, Pure Country and I enjoyed his work in it.
Damn Strait Sarge!
Mr. Strait defines the "King of Cool"
I met Dean Dillon, one of his songwriters, about 12-13 years ago at a club in west Phoenix, very cool guy.
Pure Country was really good, good thing the ponytail didn't last long!
Our little Joe can sing "Give it away" so cute!
... good thing the ponytail didn't last long!
