The Coalition Against Dynasticism

Interesting article from
  • Michael Barone here:

  • Excerpt:

Liberal Josh Marshall opposes Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential candidacy because it would be a form of "dynasticism."

"George H. W. Bush left office to be followed by two terms of Bill Clinton. He, in turn, was followed by two terms of Bush's son. If those two terms of the son are followed by the election of Clinton's wife, I don't see where that's a good thing for the country. It ceases to be a fluke and grows into a pattern. It's dynasticism."

    Here's a visual:

    1981-1984 - George H.Bush - VP
    1885-1988 - George H.Bush - VP
    1989-1992 - George H.Bush - Pres.
    1993-1996 - Bill Clinton - Pres.
    1997-2000 - Bill Clinton - Pres.
    2001-2004 - George W. Bush - Pres.
    2005-2008 - George W. Bush - Pres.
2009-2012 - Jeb Bush/Hillary Clinton (that was PAINFUL to type)- Pres. ????

Liberals can come up with something interesting every now and then!

The "dynamics" of the visual you presented ... SCREAM for a change! (IMO)

There "have" to be some alternatives?

nah......just new blood that's all. If Jeb Bush ran, you can bet your bottom dollar he'd get my vote, but it appears he won't, besides, as motomouth said above, we'll probably George P. down the road!
