A Few Days Off

Traveling and taking a break until friday.

JG's next to oldest brother has a neuropathic pain disorder that's pretty rare, at times he has had to take the equivalent of 70 percosets a day......yes, a day. He has been to the Mayo clinic dozens of times the last few years where they even put a pump in his body to administer morphine directly to his spine so it would bypass his organs, mainly the kidney's to avert any potential damage.

Last friday he was found by our mom at his house where he was unconscious, bumps and bruises on arms and head, a broken ankle, his heart rate was at 65/30 and experiencing kidney failure, functioning at less than 10%.

He has undergone kidney dialysis each of the last 3 days and we won't know the extent of his health problems for another day or two. Hopefully he's going to be okay, but you never know. He is only 51 years old, a former executive, an excellent golfer and avid golfer, but because of this disorder, he is unable to work and hasn't played golf for a number of years.

As Gary Allan says in his new song, "Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride". Count your blessings.

Adíos, will back on friday!
