A Parent's Worst NIghtmare

I've posted this twice already, but I just don't think there can be enough that can be done, I've got a tool to use, I'm going to use it....don't want people to think this is a downer of a blog though.

My friend and co-worker, Abby Simpkins and her husband Bill lost their 6 year old daughter, Emma (the youngest of 4 kids) about 7 weeks ago in a tragic accident in their driveway at home in which Bill was driving. I just got off of the phone with Abby, I don't think I have ever heard someone so desperate and sad, it took all I had to not lose it, needless to say this has us a bit worried. They are having just an incredibly hard time dealing with their loss. They have been very strong, but I think it is really just starting to hit them. They are a family of strong faith, but they need prayers and strength to help them go on. They go to DESERT HILLS FELLOWSHIP CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Just thought I needed to do a little something extra for such an awesome family.

Our friends at Sterling, Climatec and Huntair! On March
26, 2006 we lost our daughter Emma Simpkins
in a tragic accident. Since Emma’s death so many
of our friends have done so many things to help us
make it through this most difficult time in our
lives and we want to thank all you for your help and support. We would like to hug each and every one of you that has helped, through your generosity, meals and support of our family during our time of need. Your
support has helped ease some of our burden and
sorrow and we thank you from the bottom of our
hearts for that.

Our faith in God is what is holding our family
together and it is evident that God’s hand is at work through all of the kindness and sincerity that has been show to us from all of you.

Emma is our “Baby Girl Princess,” she did not
know a stranger and was always smiling and
having a happy time. Emma knew many
people and her kindness touched many of
you. Please remember Emma as that bright
and cheerful little red head girl that would
wave to you and say “Hi,” with the biggest
smile on her face. She has forever touched
our lives and we hope that she forever will
touch your lives too. Emma would always
tell us, “I love you more than bunnies!” with
the biggest smile on her face.
