Setting The Stage For December

First off.....

Go and buy your T-shirt here.

Regular readers already know that I have had many posts on the despicable Hugo Chavez. Like his idol, Fidel Castro, Chavez would like nothing more than to be the driving force to take down the United States, and with his recent travels to the U.N. in NYC as well as his travel around the world meeting with the King of the Norks Jong Il, Ahmadinejad, et al, Chavez has been doing about all he can do to stir up hatred for the USA.

Like Castro, Kim Jong Il, Ahmadinejad, Saddam, Chavez is intoxicated with power and believes he is above all else....taking away personal freedoms, creating a forced dependence on fellow countrymen to the government and invoking terror and even targeted assassinations on those who disagree with him (it's amazing how many journalists who disagree with Chavez have mysteriously died).

A reader from the Cuban community in Florida recently sent me some information about the pre-Castro days in Cuba and what it was like before the tyrant took over. Unfortunately the photo's and captions sent are not Blogger compatible, however among the information sent was the average salary of Cubans working for a Cuban citizen(s) owned company that we all know, Bacardi. In 1956, the average annual salary for a Bacardi employee was $1957.82, compare that to the average monthly salary for 2005, which is $10 or $120 per year. Now compare that to the average salary in 1956 to today and you have a difference of 1632%! Let's not forget about the huge bennies provided, such as health care benefits and paid vacation (totaling 1 MONTH).

Oh, how they long for the good ol' days.

Why bother about Cuba? Well, it is because we all know (well at least conservatives) that Hugo Chavez is in the process of making Venezuela the next Cuba. Like Castro, Chavez is aligning himself with world communist and socialist leaders to position themselves against the evil, capitalistic United States. It has been documented that Chavez has supported terrorist training camps in Venezuela as well as in Guayana & Suriname, conveniently located Sunni Muslim swampholes hidden at the top of South America. Top that off with his hand in the back pocket of the FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia - Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) and there is a recipe for big-time problems with regards to kicking him out of power.

The Venezuelan Consititution calls for Presidential term limits of 2 terms.

``If the majority of the people say yes, we'll have to change the constitution so that re-election in Venezuela will be indefinite,'' Chavez, 52, said in a televised speech in Caracas before tens of thousands of red-shirted supporters. ``The people will decide.'' Chavez would have to step down in 2013 under the current constitution if he wins in December.

Fat chance.

Last week in Israel's intelligence webzine, DEBKAfile, it was reported that officials from Iran, Cuba and Venezuela were putting their heads together on ways of translating their leaders' rhetoric into effective war action against the USA. After their meeting, officials from Iran and Venezuela moved their talks to Venezuela where Ahmadinejad continued his talks with Chavez on Sept. 17 and 18. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during those talks.

You may recall back in 1979 in Iran the day of the embassy take over, Castro said that "Together Iran and Cuba can bring America to her knees". The next year, Castro built Iran a biotechnology plant.

So we have a history of Iran/Cuba ties and with Chavez grandstanding his anti-America venom, Ahmadihejad has chummed up with Chavez and have talked repeatedly about deploying a few Iranian made missiles in Venezuela (and Cuba) all for being a menace to the U.S.

DEBKAfile also reports that "The three-way talks have thus far yielded a solid decision for Iranian intelligence agents, some of them sabotage specialists, to be sent soon to Cuba and Venezuela. They will operate in the guise of road network and industrial development experts. Their real mission will be to conduct surveys on the practicability of using Cuba and Venezuela as bases for subversive activities against the United States and other parts of Latin America."

Wonder what would happen if a Democrat becomes President in 2008?

Back in Venezuela, Chavez is now facing some stiff competition in this year's Presidential election in December from Manuel Rosales, the current Governor from the state of Zulia in Venezuela.

Here's a breakdown:

Chavez:

Like his personality or not, he can whip up a firestorm in a rally like wildfire. He has at his disposal billions of dollars to spend on the local media, television and newspapers, to deliver his propaganda and campaign virutally 24/7, which he is doing.

Chavez has relatively more power and income to manipulate the election than any sitting president in the Americas. His control over voter the election voter machinery is absolute, which led to voter abstention of 75% in the 2005 election for the National Assembly. Many Venezuelans and even a higher percentage of foreigners believe that that his reelection is a foregone conclusion.

There is hope, no a lot, but some. Chavez is facing big, big problems. Approximately 75 percent of voters rate his performance negatively on issues such as poverty, unemployment, housing, insecurity and corruption and almost as many oppose his foreign spending which is at $36 Billion and growing. The homicide rate has tripled under Chavez and whiskey and rum sales have risen over 50% in the past 2 years.

Remember when Chavez was in New York City last week at the U.N. and he was promising to sell discounted oil to the poor in NYC andBoston? Well Venezuelans have had an a$$ full of him subsidizing the "poor" in other countries when it is needed in his own backyard, something that may come back to bite him.

It's funny how he opposes capitalism and the U.S. yet his favorite bankers and politicians are reaping large capitalistic rewards from this Socialistic state.

Can Chavez be beaten? He can if his opponent, Manual Rosales, can positively put forth a campaign that enables a share of Venezuala's oil wealth with families, take away the power of the government and hand it back to the people and a campaign to end the growing poverty, homelessness and corruption.

Rosales:

The light at the end of the tunnel for Venezuelans is Manuel Rosales. His top priority is the transferring the property of the land to its rightful owners and the initiative "Mi Negra". Currently the government grants leases to its rightful owner, sort of a production rights, while the government maintains ownership. Rosales is offering complete transfer of ownership to the rightful owners. What will really hit home the people of Veneazuala is an initiative called "Mi Negra", which is basically a plan to distribute a percentage of oil income directly to the people. Rosales' plan is to put Venezuelans to work by guaranteeing property rights legally that will encourage local and foreign private investment which will turn into job creation and wealth. "Mi Negra" is their share of the oil pie and the use of those funds will depend entirely on the people. It's not a subsidy, it's an inalienable right for all Venezuelans.

Terrorism and crime is an issue that Rosales wants to do away with. Hugo Chavez gave away over $100 Million to Bolivia (surprise) so they can build military bases within their territory, meanwhile, their police, National Guard and Army lack adequate funding. Rosales declares that not one single barrel of oil or single dollar will be given away to foreign countries that deal in terrorism.

Rosales also will subsidize Venezuelan farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs and develop their own farming infrastructure instead in importing subsidized goods from foreign countries.

He also is calling for the elimination of electronic voting machines, machines that would no doubt be manipulated by Chavez.

Another issue Rosales is running on is providing free education to private universities for the less fortunate which has been wildly successful in is state of Zulia, and elimante the humiliation of the donning of red shirts while standing in line to accept government assistance (yes they do that).

He also declares that fascism will be a thing of the past.

There is a battle within Venezuela, one that will either free Venezuelans from a tyrants control or continue in a downward spiral of repression and poverty. It has been reported that the hard Chavez vote is 25%, they would vote for him no matter what and about 30% would vote for him if there is no choice. Don't be surprised if the latter is true, meaning that there is a possibility of cancelling the elections, or the elimination of a candidate(s) if you know what I mean.

As I posted 2 weeks ago, Hugo Chavez has admitted he has a fight on his hands, saying that he knows he is tied with Rosales at this juncture. A recent poll in 7 regions show that Rosales has 72% of the votes while Chavez has 17%. Here's to hoping of a landslide victory for Rosales so we don't have to endure tactics much worse than those of Al Gore, John Kerry and Mexico's Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Just think what a better world we would be in if we were free of Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro, their countries would be gold mines for capitalism.

We've got another fight in this world pitting good against evil, this one taking place in Venezuela. The blogosphere has done wonders for getting out information regarding elections, I encourage all bloggers to do their part and help in spreading the good word and help take down the evil tyrant, Hugo Chavez.

First, kudos to Joe Gringo for getting this terrific information right. Mr. Chavez recognizes the "smell of sulpher" for good reason...his so called "good deeds" have been soaked in the scent of corruption.

I'd like to add two more thoughts to this great research. Let's not forget the huge arsenal that Chavez is building. He has acquired a force to be reckoned with compliments of Russia and our questionable friend President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. One name that seems to mysteriously slip under the radar even though Mr. Putin has had close ties with Mr. Chavez. Figure that one out.

The other thing I wanted to mention is really a request and something that I hope readers can help with. Our family has chosen to boycott gasoline and products from Citgo. We all know by now that Citgo is a Venezuelan owned company and exactly where Mr. Chavez gets the cash that makes everyone stand up and listen. He provides 17% of U.S. oil/gas products.

With a bit of effort, perhaps we can change that percentage.

Here in Florida, the Turnpike is one of those roadways you have a love/hate relationship with. Citgo happens to hold the monopoly on all gas stations along the Turnpike. Are you interested in being the "squeeky wheel" that will draw some national attention to this? We sure could use a bit of help here. We'd like to see the bidding opened again to let another petroleum company come in and replace Citgo. Why should these "America Haters" get a cent of our hard earned American money?

A few lines in an email to the major media networks, Florida Government and the Transportation Department in Washington, DC could stir the pot a bit and send a nice big, unmistakable message...we didn't like your hatred against our President delivered while in our own country.

I should have taken some time to look up the email addresses for you but they are easy enough to find in a search of the internet. Perhaps someone knows these already and can post them in a comment. Main thing is we get a wildfire started right here, RIGHT NOW. Are you ready Joe Gringo? Let's take care of the Big Bad Mr. Chavez for our President. And thanks for the help folks!

Joe,

That was good, very informative. I mentioned to you earlier that mom is from Venezuela, everything you wrote is pretty much spot on she said. She also added that many people in Venezuela are going to be threatened and intimidated to vote for Hugo Chavez and that she said that Chavez has refused to accept the new President in Mexico as the winner and that the other guy who lost is the real President (I don't know their names off the top of my head). He's a scary dude, but we think he's windbag. Good stuff!

Later, Antone

qpyrphlvBrooke, I STILL can't get on your site, I keep getting a Run Time error message (whatever that is), when I click "OK", your site closes, very strange, anyway the tech pro's are going to look at it today.

Gypsy, thanks for the post. You are right about the arsenal, just a few weeks ago, Venezuela received their first shipment of 100,000 Russian rifles from......Russia, this brings their total to over 1 million.

Michelle Malkin, Powerline and other powerhouse blogs all were calling for the boycotting of CITGO, looks like it worked, 7 Eleven is looking for another supplier, as it was reported today.

All great journeys start with a step, let's hope the truth gets out on Chavez and people act in bringing him down.

Hey Antone, Yah I remember your mom being from Venezuela.
Chavez recently gave fellow Venezuelans a “warning” that if Rosales wins “the Cubans” (That’s exactly what he said, he did not even mention the doctors) would be kicked out of the country, the guy is nuts.

Some people do not see Chavez as a threat to the United States because we are the greatest power in the hemisphere.

They do not understand that his influence will be on his neighboring countries and he is trying to use his oil revenues to turn them against us and spread Communism throuout the region. He is a threat, A lot bigger threat than most people think.

The high price of gas has given him the opportunity to influence elections in the region and the ability to go on a military shopping spree, to the tune of over 2.7 billion dollars.

The purchases include 15 russian helicopters with the hope of buying 18 more. He is also buying Russian Sukhoi fighter planes, 100,000 AK103 assault rifles and intends to build a weapons factory that will produce Kalashnikov rifles.

President Chaves is also trying to build up his military to a millon men.

Do you think that Venezuela needs all this for their defense? or is he building a military might to control the region?

Antone you may be amazed at the kind of information you could dig up since you have a mother from Venzuela. It might be worth your while to pursue some of the avenues at your disposal. Communities talk and communities have ties and in your case to your mother's homeland. I can exemplify this to you with the Cuban community we have close ties to. We get information that I believe gets largely overlooked when it comes to Cuba certainly when it comes to Cuban ties.

Example: The Cuban doctors that are employed in Venezuela are just the tip of the iceberg. Special alliances have been made between Castro and Chavez. Chavez cannot trust his own government. He carries a paranoia on his shoulders. Key government positions are now being held by trusted Cuban alliances. All of Chavez's bodyguards are Cuban. The biggest spies in Chavez's employ not only in Venezuela but here in the United States, Suriname, Guayana, Colombia, Mexico throughout the Caribbean (and I dare say), Iran, N. Korea, and his recent alliances against the United States...are ALL CUBAN SPIES. The United States has learned to trust Alpha 66, Brother's to the Rescue and other top Cuban immigrant organizations because they provide acute information. These organizations are imbedded deep within the Cuban community right here in several cities within the United States. We all think of Cuba's immigrants strictly as residents of Miami but they inhabit areas like Chicago, California, Tennessee, New York, Ohio, Michigan and Puerto Rico(along with the rest of Carib)...surprised? Well you may be even more surprised to know that those same communities also harbor the largest Cuban enemy...their own! This would be Cuban's allied with Castro as spies right here in the United States. Now, the Cuban community is on high guard for these sorts but they do slip through. You might be surprised to know that they slip through on a little makeshift craft travelling across the Florida straights posing as refugees from a communist country. Please understand me. Ninety-nine % of these folks really are escaping starvation and oppression but it is the best mode of ligitamate transportation for a spy. One that gives them credibility & even celebrity within the Cuban community here. A considerable amount of Cuban spies entered this country during Mariel when 23,000 imprisoned Cubans were released to come here to the US. There was a lot in this mix. MOST really did belong in those prisons, some did not and some were simply planted there by Castro for optimum convenience...hey when opportunity knocks, right?

Anyway, Antone, Seattle, do you get my jist? Rustle the bushes a bit my friend and let us know what you find.

Scott W., Chavez is no pipsqueek. The man has the allies, the resources and THE MONEY that makes, or should make, all of us stand up and listen. He is coming here to "namecall" our President on our turf??? Do you actually think he fears us? We are the largest Superpower yet this man thinks he has the cajones to come here to put our leader down. Why? Because he knows he can with no repercussion. I think he forgets that because we are the United States of America, our leaders have to act "politically correct" but we don't. We need to stand up the best and only way we know how. We have pocketbooks and we have choice and we can make the decision as to whether we want to support this jerk with 17% of our business or not. BOYCOTT CITGO!!!

Anonymous, I love Fox News. Obviously they mean something ominous to our dear former President Clinton to deliberately and puposefully launch his personal attack on Chris Matthews. Must mean Fox has some kind of clout (GO FOX!) but even our beloved Fox can't report everything. And as any other news organization their headlines come from A.P. and Reiters. They have no time for us Conspiracy Theorists. Psychic or not. But we do have our information and we do have great guys like JOE GRINGO (insert THANKS HERE) to let us have our voice. We need to utilize our tools and let these voices of ours be heard because we are American and we best not forget it!

Yihnu,

You're absolutely right, Chavez is instigating propaganda to start a war and instilling fear in his fellow countymen to believe him

Gypsy,
THANKS! You've got quite a bit of great information, thanks for sharing.

Christians and Islamofascists on the same team? Isn't it odd that Chavez and 90% of Venezuelans are Catholic yet the Islamo-nuts are teaming up together? Doesn't Chavez realize that eventually he may have to live life in dhimmitude or convert to Islam?

He's just nuts, thei December will be VERY interesting down south.

At 1:41 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Joe Gringo you said it! The more I think about it, the more it blows me away. Christian and Islam??? I mean this is historical and we all know what happens. Do we want to pay the price the Israeli's are paying? Do we want to live in fear of domination and the chicken-little complex?

Another overlooked fact of facts is that Islam is the only group procreating. Europe gave up on kids a long time ago (check out the stats) and are starting to see the result in their social programs with no kids to pay for the old. Well you bring in the Muslim immigrants to cover the bill and you get to live under their rules and regulations because we all know political correctness takes over. You know that machine that makes us print pamplets in 100 languages and social programs striclty geared toward class and race?

I won't live that way! There's too much of this nonsense already!

The best thing us Americans can do is to make babies to take care of our futures so that we don't have the wrong baby-makers coming in to cover the bills.

Well guys...sorry to put it this way but it's plain and simple and oh so true. Think about it.

Can't wait to see the outcome of Chavez's plans. This ain't gonna be over for a long, long time folks.

Hello Joe,

A friend of mine, the gypsy keeper turned me on to your site. Lots of good information there and I thank you for it. The only thing wrong with it is most of the people who read it already know where we are in this country and where we are going. How do we get the far left to just take a looksee? I know everytime I try to talk with a liberal they do not want to listen. I was raised to belive to answer a question with a question was poor conversational skill. I guess they never learned that. I'm not sure I have ever received a direct answer froma liberal. Well, I guess Ann Coulter's book has the answer.

Chavez....Citgo used to be the only gasoline I would use. No more! I vacation in Maine in the summer and the State of Maine just broke a contract with Citgo for heating oil. I'm glad to see 7 Eleven did the same concerning gasoline. The disturbing part is this guy is power hungry and is going to sell his oil to China......or give to to them. They in turn will help him with nuke technology - as limited as many think it may be - It's not costing him anything......only the people of Venezuela will suffer. The Venezuelan's suffer as the Cubans, have since Castro's take over. What a shame Bay of Pigs didn't work out. These folks are out to take us down and if we don't wake up and smell the roses it will be too late. The thought of Hillary and her ilk moving back into the Whitehouse is absurd. If she wins the election we'll have 8 more years of Bill Clinton and that's pathetic. Apathy has taken over our society. Most people think "it didn't happen to me so I don't care". As soon as we overcomee that problem and take care of being over-run by illegals who will be the voting force in less than 10 years we will be in better shape. I guess not many people have reads the history of our own Revolutionary War. We fought for our freedoms and now we are giving them away hand over fist. What ahs happened to our sense of patriotism. THe day after 911 I was in Wal MArt nd a woman ws looking frantically for an American flag. I asked her if it took two plane attacks on our country to prompt her to buy an American flag then peerhaps she didn't even know why she needed to fly it. She asked in the normal liberal rhetoric...well..do you have your flag flying? My answer was yes ma'am and under that flag flys the P.O.W. flag. and I might add they fy EVERY day; I don;t need an excuse to fly the flag other than I love and respect it and my country. I remember when Nikita Kruschev banged his shoe on the table at a Summit meeting and said "we will conquer you from within". Well hello..with all our rights disappearing that is fairly obvious. I say now and always have that the Cold War is not and never will be dead until these envious nations conquer us. They have no prosperity due to corruption in the government and the people suffer. Praises be to God we still have some f those freedoms but they are dwindling fast. Russia, China, Venezuela, Cuba....what an alliance. Russia and Venezuela shipping technology, weapons and free oil to Cuba - less than a missle shot from the coast of Florida. I wonder if that first missle will make these apathetic Americans (loosely called so) take their heads out fo the sand and look around. I can remember the freedoms we have lost from the late 50's on.......I, along with many other's could write a book on what the liberal attorneys, politicians, A.C.L.U., etc. etc, etc. have taken away from us. The younger set don;t know any better because they are shov ed into schools with 95% left wing liberal teachers so they are educated ina mannere representing that and consequenty keep elelcting these fools. Here's a prime example of apathy....Cindy Sheehan......loving up to Chavez. Danny Glover...hugging up to Chavez. They should charge both these idiots with treason, recall their passports and deport them to Venezuela. Believe me if they revoke their U.S. passports I'll be the first in line to but their tickets. To add insult to that idiocy an ASOL poll the other day lsited 59% of Americans in the survey would vote for George Clooney for President. May God preserve us! I apologize for ranting and moving back and forth from subject to subject but when my blood starts to boil sometimes it overflows. Well my friend. Prayer and preparation is all we can do. May you walk well......Many Fires

Many Fires,

thank you stopping by. Liberals of the 60's have very little in tune with the liberals today. Look at Dennis Prager, Michael Medved and David Horowitz just to name a few, all 60's liberals who now are very conservative. Today's left is a pitiful group.

I'm not sure when, but China has struck a deal and will build an oil refinery in the Carribean for Venezuela, these alliances are a bit spooky.

Yes our freedoms are dwindling but I firmly believe the good guys (us) will prevail!

Great post.
