The UCLA Medical Center just installed a wireless patient information retrieval system that allows physicians to review our CT and MRI scans immediately, on cellular smartphones, so that they can manage medical emergencies in the ER and in the ICU from anywhere, in real-time. The real-time view of the monitor data from our ICU lets us make critical care rounds remotely, anytime, anywhere.
