I have to admit, driving in to work today felt like a holiday, traffic was a bit light. VDH's article "Immigration Checkmate" provides clarity on the immigration issue. How offended do you think all immigrants who went through the immigration process legally will be? How about a refund? That's where I'm going if this goes through.
Something is terribly wrong when thousands of skilled engineers and doctors from Canada, India and Mexico cannot easily obtain legal citizenship, while those who cut ahead by the millions and cross the border illegally almost find it de facto.

Remember, citizenship is never defined by the applicant, only by the benefactor. In America, it doesn't involve racial or ethnic allegiance. Rather, U.S. citizenship asks immigrants to make linguistic, political and social concessions.

My solution: Allow anyone who wants to come here instant citizenship...after two year's serivce in the military, in an MOS suitable for their age/sex/physical ability.
Basic citizenship and English can be taught during the span of their service.

there was that congressman in CA i forget his name who suggested we just pay prisoners to do the jobs that the illegals do...then the rest can be sent home. sounds like a plan to me.
