If you're going to Ruidoso, NM this weekend..........

.......watch out! Four Gunslingers, Mike Vinson, Chad Dean, Bob Interdonato and Wild Billy Marko from the Phoenix area are heading up to the Inn of the Mountain Gods this weekend for some serious golf, gambling and probably imbibe on some corn liquor as well.....probably? Hell, that's a given. These boys can hang with anybody, on and off the golf course. If you're looking for a game, look these boys up.

Mike Vinson, a solid 3, reminds you of Jay Haas, puts it right down the pipe with his controlled fade, may bore you to death with his lack of erratic shots, but next thing you know, you're 4 down, Bob Interdonato nearly a scratch (who can absolutley crush the ball, 350-380 yard drives are commonplace) is the splittin' image of Jason Werth of the LA Dodgers, Chad Dean has the swing/set-up of Adam Scott is about half club shy of Bob I is a stick as well, he comes in at a 3, and Billy Marko.....well, he's just Billy, the elder statesman of the group.......the silver haired deft shot-maker who will nickel and dime you to death!

So, if you're heading over to Ruidoso this weekend, bring 'yer $$$$, 'yer game and look these boys up!

That is the case Outta the desert today, and off to the Inn of the Mountain Gods.....should be fun it we manage not to get scalped by the Casino. Been there many times and there is nothing like having a putting contest by the light of the moon in the parking lot with case of Snake Eyes (for those that do not know what that is it is some godforsaken alcohol concoction that Billy Marko finds in some deserted liquor store and tastes like Grape or Orange Soda that is about 25-30 proof).

Last time we particapated in this contest, I beleive John Haas won with a winning putt that he called called "Off the hubcap of the 87 Toyota, hop the curb, down the walkway and off the light post back to underneath the brand new Black Benz over there." I think we all tried this shot so many times by the time we retired for the evening Toyota was the only car in the parking lot to receive "Hail Damage" without any rain.

Will let you all know how the trip was and to quote Pink Floyd "Wish you Were Here"

Mr Chadrin Dean won the overall event at +10, They recently added about 600 yards to the golf course and made it increasingly more difficult. Over 4 1/2 rounds that we played there were 38 3-putts or worse. The golf course is now one of hte most Challenging Tracks in the Southwest with the added length.

For example the 18th par 3 now tips out at 272yrds all carry over water. I was the only on to hit the green and I only hit it 2 out of 4 tries. Chad attempted to hit 3-wood, Mikey tried driver and Billy only cleared the hazard once. I managed to hit my 19 degree rescue on the green both times I hit the green.

The course is hosting the NM Open next weekend and I will bet that the final winning score is no more than -4. I am a scratch player and shot rounds of 78, 80, 81, and 84, while playing pretty well I might add. When I got back to AZ I played a public course called Aguila hit the ball all over the place and shot 73.

We will definately be back there next year.....
