UPDATE: 'I APOLOGIZE TO NO ONE'

UPDATE #2: Ace is the place for some of the best stuff around, funny cat.

Can F'n Kerry possibly be any more arrogant?

A cabbie picks up a Nun. She gets into the cab, and notices that the VERY handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her.

She asks him why he is staring. He replies: "I have a question to ask you but I don't want to offend you." She answers, "My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that would find offensive."

"Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me." She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that: But, #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic."

The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic!" "OK" the nun says. "Pull into the next alley." The nun fulfills his fantasy with a kiss that would make a hooker blush. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.

"My dear child," says the nun, "why are you crying?" "Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish." The nun says, "That's OK. My name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party.

The Devil is here on earth....and he's recruiting like a m-f'er.

Watch 12 minutes of the award winning film (or when you can) and pass it on, Obsession; Radical Islam's War Against the West, here.

The Truth About Muhammad

“Freedom of inquiry and speech, the quest for truth, should not be cowed into silence by violent intimidation or the acceptance of half-truths and propaganda meant to appease freedom’s enemies. One thing is certain: if no one is willing to take such risks, freedom of speech will swiftly become a relic of history.”

These are the words of author Robert Spencer, who is risking his life to educate Westerners about the life of the founder of Islam. He has just come out with a new book, The Truth About Muhammad: Founder of the World's Most Intolerant Religion. In this biography, Spencer tells the story of the founder of Islam -- a story that many Muslims themselves apparently either do not know about or do not want non-Muslims to hear.

From Brigitte Gabriel in today's Front Page.

Now read the below post.........

14 Year Old Christian Assyrian Boy Decapitated

A horrifying story from Iraq: 14 Year Old Assyrian Boy Decapitated By Muslim Group.

For God's sake, does it get any worse than this??? These people are freaking ANIMALS!

Is Islam really a religion.........or is Islam disguised as the Devil doing its work here on earth?

Now I'm sure if you were watching the network or cable news channels, you must've heard this by now.........uh, what's that, you haven't?

Didn't think so, this type of news doesn't fit their agenda.

According to the Assyrian website ankawa.com, a 14 year old Christian Assyrian boy, Ayad Tariq, from Baqouba, Iraq was decapitated at his work place on October 21.

Ayad Tariq was working his 12 hour shift, maintaining an electric generator, when a group of disguised Muslim insurgents walked in at the beginning of his shift shortly after 6 a.m. and asked him for his ID.

According to another employee who witnessed the events, and who hid when he saw the insurgents approach, the insurgents questioned Ayad after seeing that his ID stated "Christian", asking if he was truly a "Christian sinner." Ayad replied "yes, I am Christian but I am not a sinner." The insurgents quickly said this is a "dirty Christian sinner!" Then they proceeded to each hold one limb, shouting "Allahu akbar! Allahu akbar!" while beheading the boy.

Rock n' Roll Dead?

Not yet, 'cause these guys from Australia are around. This from their first album/CD 'Get Born' in 2003, their second, 'Shine On' just came out. I haven't heard it, but if it's anything like their first, buy it! For a cleaner video, go to the link above which is their website, go to videos tab.

It's a few years old, but an instant classic.

C-R-A-N-K I-T!

Now this one went to #5 on Billboard's top 100 in its first week....which was last week. The NY Times called this the most anticipated album/CD for the second half of 2006.

Now to soften things up a bit, if you are a dad with a daughter, this one will pull at your heart, apparently this is the most popular song to played in weddings....Heartland (Country): I Loved Her First. If you don't like country, tough........just listen to it and the lyrics.

Leading Imam in U.K: "It's Okay To Kill Gays"

If this applies to gay conservatives, I guess then it's okay.

Islam dictates the killing of homosexuals. Hat Tip LGF

The leading imam in Manchester confirms that he thinks the execution of sexually active gay men is justified, the rights group Outrage reported.

Arshad Misbahi of the Manchester Central Mosque confirmed his views in a conversation to John Casson, a local psychotherapist.

Casson said: “I asked him if the execution of gay Muslims in Iran and Iraq was an acceptable punishment in Sharia law, or the result of culture, not religion.

”He told me that in a true Islamic state, such punishments were part of Islam: If the person had had a trial, at which four witnesses testified that they had seen the actual homosexual acts.“

”I asked him what would be the British Muslim view? He repeated that in an Islamic state these punishments were justified. They might result in the deaths of thousands but if this deterred millions from having sex, and spreading disease, then it was worthwhile to protect the wider community.“

”I checked again that this was not a matter of tradition, culture or local prejudice. ‘No,’ he said, ‘It is part of the central tenets of Islam: that sex outside marriage is forbidden; this is stated in the Koran and the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had stated that these punishments were due to such behaviours.’"

11 Years Ago Today & 3 Kids Later.....

The Mrs. and I were married in Tequila, Jalisco, México.

However, the deal was sealed April 27, 6 months later.

You see, getting married in México in a Catholic wedding is a bit different than here in the states, they have a civil ceremony and a religous ceremony usually the latter following a day or week later. Ours was 6 months apart, we did it this way to help speed along the immigration process. And regarding the immigration process and the INS, that is a world I hope you never have to deal with, it is the the MOST incompetent, pathetic part of our government by far. That's another story.

Anyway, we were married in front of a judge at the home of the Mrs. and her parents, my brother, mom and the only gringo living in Tequila at the time and my fine friend Allan, were my witnesses. After the judge presented the papers, it was official, we had some things to eat, cake, tequila (of course, but not much) and then my brother and I went off to our room for the night and off to bed. Yah baby, that was my first "wedding night".

As I said earlier, the deal was "sealed" 6 months later in the church ceremony, which by the way was a beauty! 25 of my friends and family flew down for it, flying into Puerto Vallarta then renting vans and SUV's equipped with walkie talkies and drove due east 160 miles inland, to Tequila, which is about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. We had a 12 piece mariachi band, a huge spread of the most authentic Méxican food, and an open bar.........and plenty of tequila!

The three little ones followed, 9 yr old boy, 4 yr old girl, 2 yr old bull...err boy.

Happy anniversary Sweetie Pie! Love, Joe.

Where's Richard Simmonss Here?

A few days old, AskMen asked a bunch of homo's who they thought were the manliest men, no surprise, these wussbags selected George Clooney, read here.

George C. Looney topped that man stud designer Tom Ford who came in at #5. I have no idea who he is, but if he's a clothes designer, that puts him(?) about the polar opposite from being anything resembling a man. Looney beat out Lance Armstrong (4), Tiger Woods (13) and Travel-show host Anthony Bourdain was 19th on the list.

I wonder how close Richard Simmons and Lance Bass were to making the cut?

Tiger and Lance are the fiercest competitors there are, if they even stared at Looney for 5 seconds, that self absorbed chump would faint.

I didn't know manly men subscribed to a webzine called AskMen.com, perhaps going into a football locker room, a NASCAR race or any bar in Prescott, AZ might produce different results.

Mark Steyn, "America Alone"

His new book America Alone has received rave reviews, here's the opening paragraphs of the last chapter, which address one of Steyn's core themes, the collapse of Western cultural confidence:

This book isn't an argument for more war, more bombing, or more killing, but for more will. In a culturally confident age, the British in India were faced with the practice of "suttee" -- the tradition of burning widows on the funeral pyres of their husbands. General Sir Charles Napier was impeccably multicultural: "You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."

India today is better off without suttee. If you don't agree with that, if you think that's just dead-white-male Eurocentrism, fine. But I don't think you really do believe that. Non-judgmental multiculturalism is an obvious fraud, and was subliminally accepted on that basis. After all, most adherents to the idea that all cultures are equal don't want to live in anything but an advanced Western society. Multiculturalism means your kid has to learn some wretched tribal dirge for the school holiday concert instead of getting to sing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," or that your holistic masseuse uses techniques developed from Native American spirituality, but not that you or anyone you care about should have to live in an African or Native American society. It's a quintessential piece of progressive humbug. But if you think you genuinely believe that suttee is just an exampleof the rich, vibrant tapestry of indigenous cultures, you ought to consider what your pleasant suburb would be like if 25, 30, 48 percent of the people around you really believed in it too. Multiculturalism was conceived by the Western elites not to celebrate all cultures but to deny their own: it is, thus, the real suicide bomb.

The rest of us -- the ones who think you can make judgments about competing cultures on liberty, religious freedom, the rule of law -- need to recover the cultural cool that General Napier demonstrated.

Hu Da Qing of Green Tea In The USA?

Well, here's one thing I thought I'd never post.....part of my Green Tea collection from China I have at the office.

Mi compadre in Shanghai, Hu Da Qing (in english he goes by George Hu) sends me these every few months, the best you can buy in China he says!

A buddy e-mailed me, questioning my manhood about this and didn't believe me, and Brooke at NeoCon Command Center asked for a picture, so here it is.

Since I'm not a photographer, this photo isn't the greatest, everything is in Mandarin. The green container, 2nd from the left and under George W., is one I just received, about $30 USD worth of green tea. The two under the gringo swinging the golf club are steel containers that are engraved with a snake and a dragon, pretty cool. Gay, I know, but since I don't know of anyone who has a collection, I figured I might as well start one.

BTW, Hu Da Qing may go down as one of the coolest names ever.

PS- Hey Vinnie, that photo is you, Billy, Randy, Stake, Billy Tumalte, me and the boys from my last Myrtle Beach trip at Long Bay.

The Man And His Blog

Victor Davis Hanson's list of things he believes we have learned, or learned more deeply, about the warped lens through which Arab Muslims of the Middle East regard the West.

It is difficult in history to find any civilization that asks as much of others as does the contemporary Middle East—and yet so little of itself. If I were to sum up the collective mentality of the current Arab Middle East—predicated almost entirely on the patriarchal sense of lost “honor” and the rational calculation to murder appeasing liberals and appease murdering authoritarians— it would run something like the following:

(1) We will pump oil at $3 and must sell it over $50 — and still blame you for stealing our natural treasure.

(2) We will damn your culture and politics, but expect our own to immigrate in the thousands to your shores; upon arrival any attempt to integrate Muslim immigrants into Western pluralistic society will be seen as Islamaphobic

(3) Send us your material goods, whether machine tools, I-pods, or antibiotics. We desperately want them, but will neither make the necessary changes in our own statist, authoritarian, religiously intolerant, tribal, and patriarchal culture to allow us to produce them ourselves, nor will show any appreciation for the genius of others who can do what we cannot.

(4) We ostensibly wish you to stop the killing of Muslims by ourselves and others—Milosevic murdering Kosovars, Saddam destroying Kuwaitis, Kurds, and Shiites, Russians killing Afghans and Chechnyans — but should you concretely attempt to do so, we will immediately consider your intervention far worse than the mayhem caused by others or ourselves.

(5) Any indigenous failure in the Arab Middle East will eventually be blamed on the United States or Israel.

(6) Your own sense of multiculturalism must serve as an apology for our own violent pathologies, that can only be seen as different from, never worse than, your own culture.

(7) We must at all times talk of anti-Americanism and why we want you out of the Middle East; you must never become anti-Arab or anti-Muslim, much less close your borders to our immigrants and students.

(8) We will tolerate and often defend those who burn churches, ethnically cleanse Jews from our cities, behead priests, kill nuns, and shoot infidels as the necessary, if sometimes regrettable, efforts of our more zealous to defend Islam. But if any free spirit in the West satirizes Islam, we will immediately demand that Western governments condemn such blasphemy — or else!

(9) Material aid—billions to Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, or the Palestinians — is our entitlement. Any attempt to curtail it is seen as an assault on the Arab nation.

(10) We are deathly afraid of nuclear Russia, China, and India who have little tolerance for either Islamism or terrorism, and so will ignore their felonies, while killing you for your misdemeanors.

If you have to have a geopolitical adversary, we should be grateful that we have been blessed with such an obviously incoherent and incompetent one. It ought to be a huge advantage. Unfortunately, huge numbers of Westerners -- especially those schooled in our universities in the last thirty years and now populating the chattering classes -- are determined to cede that advantage. How? By declaring that it would be immoral to use the vast array of cultural, social, economic, political and military tools at our disposal for geopolitical gain against the Arab Muslims of the Middle East.

The Arizona 9-11 Memorial Debacle

This is about a month old, but I figured I'd jump in, local conservative radio talk show hosts, Liddy and Hill (the former, G. Gordon's son) have been pounding this one into the ground, and for good measure.

Under the leadership of our Governor Janet Napolitano (Democrat), a commission was set up by our former Governor Jane Hull (Republican) to design a memorial commemorating those who died and affected by the events of 9-11-01. Unfortunately what was unveiled was absolutely disgusting. Instead of honoring the victims of 9-11, this commission set up by our Governor actually lambastes the USA with "quotes" supposedly important and relative to the events of 9-11-01.

Recently in a press conference, Napolitano was asked by a reporter why many of the "quotes" were not quotes honoring the victims but in fact are phrases demeaning and blaming the USA for the 9-11. Her response? "You have to see the enire Memorial to appreciate it, stop making this political........move on."

What an arrogant b*tch.

It was her commission that made this political. If you are in Arizona this saturday, make sure you stop by and participate in the Arizona 9/11 Memorial Rally.

It's the same old, same old. Plan a 9/11 Memorial to honor the victims who died that day at the hands of evil, murderous Islamofascists, but mostly forget to mention the victims or the evil that took their lives. Instead, create a "place for dialogue," question American foreign policy since 9/11, and remind visitors to the 9/11 Memorial that there were root causes for the attacks-- namely, us.

This tolerance, diversity, acceptance BS has got to stop.

Some of the phrases in the Arizona Memorial ticking people off include:

"Erroneous U.S. Airstrike Kills 46 Ugruzgan Civilians"
"Congress Questions Why CIA and FBI Didn't Prevent Attacks"
"You Don't Win Battles of Terrorism With More Battles"
“09 15 01. Balbir Singh Sodhi, a Sikh, murdered in Mesa.”

Sodhi was a gas station owner from India, killed in the days following the Sept. 11 attacks, apparently because he was mistaken for someone of Middle Eastern descent because of the turban and beard he wore. Now, this story of misguided retaliation is tragic, but it is also rare. It's so, so far from reflective of the average American's reaction to 9/11 that its placement on the memorial is absurd.

See for yourself and tell me if this a memorial for the victims of the attacks on 9-11-01. Remember, my kids, your kids, their kids and so on will look at this piece of crap and will never truly understand what happened that day.

The Nuclear 2-Step, North Korea and Iran

Scary and Scarier are tag-teaming it, nuclear style. Every couple of weeks one barks louder than the other, pretty soon, one of them is going to bite.

As the chess match continues, some things are coming to light.

The Chinese prefer Republicans.
The Islamofascists prefer the cut and runners..........the Democrats.
The Islamofascists hate everyobody except radical muslims and Christian Catholic nutball leaders........like Hugo Chavez, yah, that makes sense.
The Chinese hate Japan, but are still fearful of their military strength.
North Korea is China's b*tch, they depend on them for just about all of their food and fuel.
Russia still hates the USA.
Everybody hates Israel except conservatives.
Venezuela supports and hosts terrorists and is buying a ton of weapons and jets so they can start a war against SOMEBODY, Chavez hopes against the USA.

And..... Ahmadinejad, Chavez, KJ Il and Putin are scrawny, ugly little twirps who are lucky they're leaders of their countries, otherwise if they were everyday Joe's in their country, they wouldn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of ever scoring with a chick....I had to get that one in.

Okay, what inspired China to pressure North Korea to back down from firing off another nuke and force Kim Jong Ill (ill as in ill) to say he "regrets" firing off the Norks nuke on October 9th?

Was it the possibility of the Democrats gaining control of the House and Senate in a few weeks? If that were to happen, it would hurt China, the Dems are turning against free trade, blaming globalization for policies that have benefitted China at the expense of US manufacturers and workers, it's in China's best interest to keep the Republicans in power.

Move west a few thousand miles to Iran/Iraq, and you have Ahmadinejad picking up the defiant rhetoric now that KJ Ill has piped down for the time being. Things are brewing over there big time. Mahdi army fighters ahve taken total control of Amarah in southern Iraq, and Ahmedinejad has rejected UN resolutions that were aimed at ending the mullahocracy's nuclear standoff with the West and warned Europe that it may get hurt by supporting Israel.

"You should believe that this regime (Israel) cannot last and has no more benefit to you," Ahmadinejad said in a speech broadcast on state radio." What benefit have you got in supporting this regime, except the hatred of the nations?

"We have advised the Europeans that the Americans are far away, but you are the neighbors of the nations in this region. We inform you that the nations are like an ocean that is welling up, and if a storm begins, the dimensions will not stay limited to Palestine, and you may get hurt."

Regarding the UN, Ahmadinejad said any decisions by the Security Council, which is considering imposing sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program, were illegitimate.

"The Security Council, in its current situation, lacks legitimacy," he said. "Its decisions are illegitimate. You (the Council) want to be the judge, the prosecutor and the executor at the same time? Those times are gone."

Iran's consistently growing standoff with the West is now a problem with its ally, China, who has jsut said they want to be a responsible stakeholder in resolving Iran's nuclear standoff with the West. China and Russia have resisted tougher measures on Iran, but have at least urged negotiations to end the standoff.

Iran could care less what anyone thinks or says. While it seems possible to appease North Korea, with Iran, it is probably impossible. Their goal is to blow away and destroy Israel, drive the US from the Middle East and infect the entire world with their radical idealogy. With their incredibly deep pockets of cash, nothing is going to stand in their way....except ........a nuke from Uncle Sam and friends?

Meanwhile in Venezuela it appears that Chavez has decided to buy military cargo aircraft from Russia after a Spanish company, facing US opposition, dropped a plan to sell 12 planes to Venezuela. Also, Chavez is aslo going to spend $3 Billion on 24 Sukhoi fighter planes and 53 military helicopters, this follows the recent purchase of 100,000 Kalashnikov AK-103 rifles and a dozen helicopters from Russia last year. And..... Russia and China are stepping up their efforts to purchase quite a bit of crude oil from Venezuela.

Now how pissed are Venezuelan's going to be when (hopefully) Manuel Rosales defeats Hugo Chavez this December 3rd and are stuck with all of this mess and ammo?

Tensions are tight around the world, but what if the moons aligned and the following took place?

-Castro dies, Raul caves in, Cuba turns to the free market, becomes ally.
-Rosales defeats Chavez in Venezuela, Chavez goes away or is assassinated, Venezuela WILL become a capitalistic gold mine.
-The US withdraws its troops from South Korea, SK and/or Japan and/or China takes out North Korea's nuclear missile launcher thereby rendering NK and KJ Il useless.
- Allied nations bomb the living daylights out of Iran and its nuclear faclities.
- Joe Gringo becomes the best golfer in Arizona.

It's pizza night at the park with the Mrs. and kids, I think I'll pour me a nice cold one and relax.

Dow Ends Above 12,000 for the First Time...

It's not the truest indicator of how the economy is doing, but it is a good one.

Since a republican is the President, the MSM won't say peep about it.

Now if a Democrat was in office........well you know the story well by now.

The Democrats Modus Operandi for 2006 - 2008

As soon as the Democrats take over the House, plans are already drawn up to impeach President Bush and VP Cheney.

L-O-S-E-R-S

"A plan is in place to censure and impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney. Orchestrated and organized by the radical Left and Congressman John Conyers, Jr., this plan is ready to go should the Democratic Party take control of the House of Representatives in November.
The plan is the ultimate manifestation of left-wing hatred for George W. Bush rooted in the contentious election of 2000. Since failing to defeat Bush in 2004, the Left has focused its efforts on destroying his presidency by assembling a list of charges aimed at impeaching him.

Impeachment plans began seriously coalescing in 2005, after the NY Times published classified aspects of the NSA surveillance program. In mid- December of that year, Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-CA, asked a group of presidential scholars whether President George W. Bush had committed an impeachable offense when he authorized the NSA foreign surveillance program. John Dean, the long-time Bush critic of Watergate fame provided Boxer with the answer she and most other Democrats were looking for: “Bush is the first president to admit an impeachable offense,” he said.

...

More recently, Rep. Brad Miller, D-GA, said, “The Democrats on the House Science Committee are collecting stories of the intimidation or censoring of scientists. We’re building a case for hearings by the Committee, which may be unrealistic to expect under the current majority, or to be ready for hearings next year if Democrats gain the majority in November.” [Emphasis added.] Miller was making that threat in relation to accusations by leftists and Democrats that Bush was silencing those concerned about global warming.
"

A great article to compliment the above one from FrontPageMag.com, Victor Davis Hanson on LIBS GONE WILD.

How embarrassing it must be to be a liberal Democrat.

There's actually an upside to this I suppose if this actually happens. The country will be so fed up with the left's craziness, loonines and downright BS for the next 2 years that they won't stand a chance for the White House in 2008.

They are a party totally devoid of ideas or leadership for the future of our country. Let's see, Castro is going to die soon and Cuba may actually follow along the lines of a China, we've got Iran, the Iraq war, Nork Korea, radical Islam, Russia, Somalia.....and this is all they can come up with?

Oh, did I mention that our economy is rockin', kicking a$$ and taking names?

What a bunch of narcissistic ingrates...........still can't get over the impeachment of their boy!

Alli hear from the left is global warming and impeaching GW Bush. What a bunch of ass-hats.

Mark Steyn: A Dark Globalism

HOW ISLAMIST TERROR SPREAD ITS TENTACLES WORLDWIDE

THE dragons are no longer on the edge of the map: That's the lesson of 9/11.

When you look at it that way, the biggest globali zation success story of recent years is not McDonald's or Microsoft but Islamism. The Saudis took what was not so long ago a severe but peripheral strain of Islam - practiced by Bedouins in the middle of a desert miles from anywhere - and successfully exported it to Jakarta and Singapore and Alma-Ata and Grozny and Sarajevo and Lyons and Bergen and Manchester and Ottawa and Dearborn and Falls Church. It was a strictly local virus, but the bird flew the coop.

And now, instead of the quaintly parochial terrorist movements of yore, we have the first globalized insurgency.

Here's the rest......

China Worries About North Korea Refugees

Anne Applebaum writes at Slate:

Instead of closing the 800-mile Chinese-North Korean border to goods, the Chinese could open it to people. According to U.S. government estimates, between 10,000 and 30,000 North Korean refugees have slipped across the border in recent years and now live illegally in China.

According to some independent estimates, that number is closer to 300,000. Whatever the correct figure, it's clear that a lot more would join them if the Chinese weren't so vigilant about sending North Korean refugees back to face torture and imprisonment.

Just this past week, while no one was paying much attention, China increased that vigilance, adding new barbed-wire fences and even deporting some local residents from the border region. One Chinese official apparently told a Hong Kong newspaper that the regime is girding itself to repulse a possible influx of 500,000 refugees. Were such a number really to flee, it could provoke the collapse of the regime.

New album, err CD out today, buy it.

The NY Times called it the most anticipated CD for the 2nd half of 2006.

It's Official......Scary Times in Norkland, the World.

It has been reported in Seoul and Japan that North Korea is ready and committed to a 2nd nuclear test, possible as soon as this thursday. Why this thursday? As you may recall their last two firings have come on certain dates to try and punk the USA, the first one on July 4th, the second on Columbus Day and the day before South Korea announced it President to the UN council. It looks as though Kim Jong Il wants to upstage the visit by Condi Rice to South Korea later this week.

This from China Confidential is interesting, the US and Japan are playing with fire--nuclear fire--in their handling of the Korean crisis. Washington and Tokyo are making the mistake of treating North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-il like a cunning crime boss instead of what he really is--a crazed cult leader, who has constructed his own world within the confines of the Hermit Kingdom. For Dear Leader Kim, there is no reality except for the one he has fashioned over time. Exile and retirement--and reform--are out of the question. He is more likely to fight and die--and take hundreds of thousands or even millions of lives with him--than submit and surrender. Suffocating sanctions, as we have said, are a prescription for catastrophe. Barring a sudden Chinese-backed coup or arranged assassination, Kim will more likely lash out with ferocity--using the element of surprise to his great advantage--than return to stalled, multilateral nuclear disarmament talks.

For the US and Japan, the choices, as we see them, are (a) appeasement, assuming Kim can be satisfied with direct talks, recognition and security guarantees, economic assistance and a withdrawal of US troops, which are essentially nuclear hostages, anyhow, from South Korea, or (b) war, assuming the US is capable of using stealth bombers and missiles to accurately and utterly destroy every possible North Korean military, nuclear, chemical, and biological base and installation in a wave of sudden surprise attacks.

We do not believe that Kim is afraid of war; he has been preparing for it for years. The current Korean crisis is the unfinished business of the Korean War, which cost the lives of more than 52,000 Americans. If the Pentagon is incapable of defeating and destroying Kim without risking the lives of around 30,000 US troops and endangering our democratic ally, Japan, the world's second largest economy, Washington would be wise to cut a deal with him as soon as possible, even if it means abandoning South Korea and refocusing on dealing with Iran, a nuclear arming power with truly global aspirations. Pyongyang's territorial ambitions are limited to reunifying the Korean peninsula; in contrast, Tehran aims to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, dominate the Middle East and drive the US out of the strategically vital oil-producing region, and spread the mullahocracy's vision of radical Islam in order to change the power relations among nations for centuries to come.

Appeasing North Korea is a loathsome option worth considering; appeasing Iran is a non-starter, unless, as we have said, one is prepared to convert to fundamentalist Shiite Islam.

Horrible decisions need to made soon. Unfortunately the Clinton administration made the huge mistake of providing valuable nuclear technology to the North Koreans, now the Bush administration has the unenviable job of cleaning it up.

Monday Night Football and the .....AZ Cardinals

WE HAVE THE WORLD'S WORST SPORT FRANCHISE.....EVER!!!

tuesday morning update: I rest my case!

I love the NFL, it's just too bad we have the ownership that we do here in Arizona.

The Chicago Bears are in town, playing the Arizona Cardinals tonight on MNF. We (AZ Cardinals) have a new stadium, the piece of the puzzle that the owners (Bidwill family) said was needed to produce a winning football team.

News flash to the Bidwills, we are 1-4, getting ready to play arguably the best team in the NFL tonight, I can almost guarantee you the crowd will be split 50/50 for each team, anything Chicago here in Phoenix is muy popular. If we lose tonight, look for Edgerrin James to pull a hammy next week and be out for 5-6 games, 'cause the season will be officially over.

Don't get me wrong, I like our players, we've got some studs, our backup QB Kurt Warner, is probably my favorite NFL'er and without a doubt one of the greatest professional sport stories EVER, but the ownership blows, we'll never have a consistent playoff team here......EVER! It all starts from the top, and the top can't find its way out of a paper bag. Greed kills.

Bears 31

A Sign of Things to Come??

Madman Hugo Chavez just got his a$$ handed to him, losing his bid for Venezuela to secure a seat on the U.N. council and on top of that, that powerhouse of a country, Guatemala, received more votes.

All that travelling around the world, spending Venezuela's money and popping off about the "evil" USA got him squat, Chavez gets only 76 votes to Guatemala 109. But it gets worse: the second round saw Venezuela lose two votes to get 74 while Guatemala went up to 114.

And it got even worse as, very symbolically, Spain announced at the last minute that it would vote for Guatemala ending officially the Spanish support to Chavez, a support that has only brought problems to Spain.

And it is still worse because Chile got entangled in an unnecessary internal political struggle that forced it at the last moment to announce an abstention (showing that it is always a risky proposition to support Chavez, even discretely).

And to top it off the Ecuadorian openly pro Chavez came in second with barely 22% when polls were predicting a possible first round win at 40%. It seems that the last minute Noboa anti Chavez rhetoric paid off handsomely and gave him 27% (1). A difficult second round for both of them whereas it was predicted 2 weeks ago that Correa would either win outright or have an easy second round.

Bad day for Chavez.

December is weeks away, things will get very interesting down there, and it looks more and more like Manuel Rosales will defeat Hugo Chavez and will become Venezuela's next President.

VDH blogs on North Korea

Thoughts on North Korea from Victor Davis Hanson.

"What can we do in this lose/lose mess?

Surely not what the Democrats advocate—a return to direct Clintonian/Cartesian one-on-one negotiations, when we gave billions in food, oil, and reactors. That only led to the present mess by rewarding in the 1990s North Korean nuclear roguery with subsidies and status to the thuggish Kim Jong-il. It is typical of Jimmy Carter’s shamelessness or dotage that, after the failure of his Nobel-Prize-driven intervention into the Korean morass during the Clinton administration, that he now pontificates how George Bush has broken his fine porcelain Korean policy."

Huge Chavez' 2008 re-election campaign is heating up. This is so pathetic it is funny! This man of the people is too busy trying to make a name for himself on the international scene, he has forgotten to take care of his people that voted for him.

Something To Ponder: Execution By A Nuke?

First off, I would love to take my size 13 golf shoe and squash this pint-sized porn freak runt.

Question: How many people perished in North Korea's first nuclear test?

Answer: Nobody knows, and the answer may never be known, but it would not surprise us if hundreds died. Given North Korea's history of horrors and atrocities--including manipulated mass starvation, gassing whole families to death in concentration camps, and driving steel cables through the shoulders and hands of forcibly returned refugees at the Chinese border--it is difficult to imagine the regime "wasting" a big bomb blast. Defiant and deranged Dear Leader Kim Jong-il is known to be a fanatic fan of James Bond films--he reportedly identifies with the Dr. No villain--and the prospect of staging a mass execution by nuclear explosion may have been irresistably attractive to him in the context of shocking the world.

North Korea, Iran, China.....and the 2008 Olympics

No doubt, the Democrats' #1 item of importance is Foleygate, I guess when you've North Korea firing off a 20-kiloton nuke, last week Iran’s Ahmadinejad ridiculed efforts to corral his own nuclear ambitions, the stock market was nearing an all-time high, the deficit is suddenly falling in near record fashion, falling gas prices might hit $2 a gallon. In Iraq, the U.S. military was taking on the Shiite militias, it only makes sense to discuss some creep. ;-)

Losers.

The chess match is on.

In case you didn't catch this, the Asia Times reported on October 6 that Kim Jong Il defiantly stated that "War is coming to US soil".

After praising Kim Jong-Il as "the greatest of the peerless national heroes Korea has ever produced," Kim Jong Il's spokesman Kim Myong-Choi explains that North Korea's current leader is "unique" because he "is the first to equip Korea with sufficient military capability to take the war all the way to the continental US."

All the way to the USA....

"Under his leadership the DPRK has become a nuclear-weapons state with intercontinental means of delivery," spokesman Kim continues. "(Dear Leader) Kim is certainly in the process of achieving the long-elusive goal of neutralizing the American intervention in Korean affairs and bringing together North and South Korea under the umbrella of a confederated state."

It gets worse.

"Unlike all the previous wars Korea fought, a next war will be better called the American War or the DPRK-US War because the main theater will be the continental US, with major cities transformed into towering infernos. The DPRK is now the fourth-most powerful nuclear weapons state just after the US, Russia, and China.

"The DPRK has all types of nuclear bombs and warheads, atomic, hydrogen and neutron, and the means of delivery, short-range, medium-range and long-range, putting the whole of the continental US within effective range. The Korean People's Army also is capable of knocking hostile satellites out of action.

"All the past Korean heroes let the Land of Morning Calm be reduced to smoking ruins as the wars were fought on its soil, even though they repelled the invaders. One of the two major aspirations of the Korean people has been the buildup of military capability enough to turn enemy land into the war theater. Kim has splendidly achieved this aspiration."

North Korea has just had its moment in the sun, it's China's turn to step up to the plate. Now that North Korea has defied just about every sane country in the world with their explosion of a nuclear weapon, the Norks' #1 ally, China, needs to act responsibly and prove that they are major responsible stakeholder in the world of international politics.

The "Chinese solution" to the long North Korean nightmare does not necessarily have to include military action; cutting off the aid could cause regime change. On the other hand, a cornered Kim could also strike out--at South Korea, where 30,000 US troops are essentially sitting ducks for a nuclear attack, and/or US ally Japan. North Korea has shown in the past that it is capable of firing a missle over Japan.

Meanwhile, China's nuclear arming ally, Islamist Iran, is instigating its ally, Syria, a country with which China enjoys close and deepening ties, to attack Israel. Or, at the very least, to threaten Israel with war ... in an effort to divert attention from Tehran's nuclear enrichment program and protracted standoff with the West.

At the same time, new reports from Sudan say the Islamic-leaning government is directly responsible for the massacre of hundreds of black Sudanese villagers in Darfur. Energy-starved China is the main foreign investor in Sudan's oil industry; and Chinese arms sales to the rogue regime, in the context of Beijing's aggressive "energy diplomacy," have fueled the genocide in Darfur, according to Amnesty International and other observers.

It's getting pretty hairy folks.

With the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games looming, one can only hope--for the sake of world peace--that rising China will seize the historic opportunity with which it has been presented, set aside its global grab for markets and raw materials, and cooperate closely with the US and other great powers to address the issues at hand in a truly meaningful--and responsible--manner.

Plus, there's an outside chance that I get to go the Olympics in Beijing in 2008, so for the sake of this gringo......come on China....git 'er done!

Stephen Brown at Rant's and Raves is an anthropology major who spent a great deal of time in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world. Here, he reflects on the cultural differences between them and westerners...and lays out why in his words, he feels `Our civilization is destroying theirs. We cannot share a world in peace. They understand this; we have yet to learn it.'

Why Ace is one of the Best

Aside from having great contacts/sources on anything "news", Ace of Spades also has a pretty funny way of relaying news, example regarding the Foley scandal:

Let's see... we're (Republicans) running on national security and the economy, they're (Dems) running on general anti-faggotry.

The Democratic Party...............Soft on terrorists. Hard on fags.

Feliz Cumpleaños, Happy Birthday El Negro

Today, my father in law Francisco "El Negro" Sanchez de Castillo was born 65 years ago in the beautiful town of Tequila, Jalisco, México. That's him with the yellow shirt along with my mother in law, the Mrs. and the trio of little gringo's known as my kids.

You could say El Negro is a sort of renaissance man, an accomplished artist, writer, he built his own home wiht his own hands, a 2 story beauty with a spiral staircase, a man of deep faith, he can school you on any topic....except for American football and golf ;-) ....... and if you happen to get in a tussle with him, you'll end up on the losing end, El Negro is tough as nails. He's 5'5", I'm 6'5" 230 lbs, I wouldn't mess with him.

A few adventures he has gone through.......while working with the major electrical company in México, he fell from high above while working on power lines, was knocked unconcious and put in a coma for a week, he was thrown from a fishing boat and lost at sea for a day...........and made the pilgrimage to pray to Virgin of Guadalupe in México City from Tequila........a stout 400 miles on foot! Took him and his 2 buddies 17 days to do it. That was nearly 40 years ago and every year since then he makes the pilgrimage to pray to Virgin of Talpa which is about 5 dayer on foot. Each year right around Easter, he and many from the town of Tequila and neighboring towns do this, he has done this for over 40 years! If you're not familiar with the terrain of the state of Jalisco, it is very mountainous, the Sierra Madre's run through Jalisco.

He's a great man, if you ever get the chance to make it to Tequila, make him you're tour guide. He'll take you on some great hikes through mountains, caves and show you some fantastic cave/underground tunnels that stretch for miles and miles.

íFeliz Cumpleaños!

Nuclear Tag-Teamers

I'm thinking get ready folks, 'cause we're about to be introduced to a nuke by either one of these madmen. King Dork of the Norks, Kim Jong Il announced that he will go ahead with plans to fire off a nuclear test(?) weapon and Iran's Ahmadinejad continues to bitch-slap the West, using every delaying and stalling tactic it has as it goes about its business of not so secretly buildding bombs.

Chances are about nil that either of these nuts is bluffing.

A nuke-test(?) by North Korea could come as soon as next week, which is when South Korea is going to elect its foreign minister Ban Ki-moon, as secretary general of the U.N. Since Jong Il believes he is the most important Korean on earth and recently vowed that HE is the one who will unify the Korean peninsula, this election as the unofficial president is deeply offensive to him. Hhhmmm.....little man's disease. Put an earring on him and a scarf and this porn-freak midget looks like an old Korean woman......a real ugly one at that.

So there a few things at play there, one, Jong Il doesn't want to be upstaged by the upcoming election in South Korea, two, he wants to undermine South Korea's attempt to appease the Stalinist North Korea state and third, he would love to embarrass George W. Bush before the upcoming elections in early November.

We're talking days/weeks before the lunatic Jong Il shocks the world.

Where's China in this? I think we will finally see them finally sacking up and coming to the plate, maybe a secret, China backed military coup? Who knows, but something by China needs to be done.

More later.....
